The best dumplings

We have a large family gathering coming up and I've been comissioned to make Chicken and Dumplings.  Growing up, my Grandmother always used Pork instead of Chicken.  What do you think is the best to use?  I loved her's, but I also love chicken.  Any suggestions?

Excellent Idea! Chicken Dumplings are outstanding!I would make both.
Some people love pork and some love chicken.

I suppose that is what I'll have to do.  I've gotten a very similar response from some family members.  :-)

Now for the second part:  I wouldn't mind using a recipe variation if you know of an excellent one.  Anyone have any good C&D recipes?

I found a great Cajun Chicken and Dumplings recipe! Proceed to our recipe section and you will find this recipe listed under the Chicken (white and dark) category. I hope you enjoy this recipe. It is a kicked up version of a classic Southern meal.
