Holiday Fireside Drink

This festive, economical Christmas beverage is a low-fat, low stress way to enjoy the holiday season. The allspice adds a wonderfully vivid touch to this wholesome, splendid beverage.

Holiday Fireside Drink

1 cup sugar (or Splenda/sugar substitute)

1 cup instant creamer

1 cup cocoa (or sugar free/no-sugar-added cocoa)

1/4th cup instant coffee (preferably not decaf)

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon allspice

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4th teaspoon cloves

1. Place all the listed ingredients in a blender and blend on "mix" for approximately one minute.

2. Stop the blender and scrape the sides so that none of the ingredients stick to the inner walls (failing to mix with the others).

3. Blend the ingredients for approximately another minute.

4. To drink, either treat the powder as cocoa powder by adding it to hot water (except use roughly double the amount of fireside powder as you would cocoa powder) or stir it into your coffee.

5. Enjoy one of your new favorite seasonal wonders!
