This world famous tropical drink was a legendary concoction served at the Trader Vic’s in The Hilton, Havana Libre, in Havana, Cuba.
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce orange Curacao
1/4 ounce sugar syrup
1/4 ounce orgeat syrup*
1 ounce aged Jamaican rum
1 ounce amber Martinique rum (St. James or Clement)
1. Shake well with crushed ice.
2. Pour into a double old-fashioned glass.
3. Garnish with a mint sprig.
Makes 1 drink.
*Orgeat syrup is a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar and rose water or orange-flower water.
