This shake recipe is both wonderfully healthy and filling.  The genesis for this shake recipe came from the island of Cuba. Many a Cuban child had this shake as a snack or as a cooling refreshment. Simple and inexpensive to prepare but pleasing in flavor and rich in protein.   

 

1 cup puffed wheat cereal

 

1 cup cold whole milk

 

2 tablespoons malted milk powder

 

2 tablespoons condensed milk

 

1 tablespoon sugar or more to suit your taste

 

2 or 3 ice cubes

 

 

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender until creamy.

 

2. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!

 

Makes 1 shake.
