Apple Cheddar Pizza

A breakfast recipe that consists of pizza! This highly acclaimed recipe combines granny smith apples with sharp cheddar cheese. The flvor is out of this world. Enjoy!

 

1  package of refrigerated ready-made pizza dough 

 

Filling:


2  Granny Smith apples, peeled, coarsely chopped

 

4  tablespoons (2 ounces) butter

 

1/2  lemon, juiced

 

2  tablespoons raisins

 

2  tablespoons sugar

 

2  tablespoons slivered almonds

 

1  cup (8 ounces) Sharp Cheddar cheese, grated, 1/2 cup will be used in the pizza filling and 1/2 cup will be sprinkled on top of the pizza 

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 425*F.


2. Sauté two coarsely chopped Granny Smith apples in butter until softened.

 

3. Add lemon juice, raisins and sugar.


4. Transfer to a mixing bowl, leaving as much butter as possible in the sauté pan.

 

5. Add almond slivers to sauté pan, slightly toast. Mix with apple mixture. Cool. Add 1/2 cup of Cheddar cheese.


6. Roll ready-made pizza dough into 12 -inch thin circle on floured work space.

 

7. Place filling in center of the pizza crust, not to cover completely.

 

8. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of Cheddar cheese.


9. Bake on parchment paper for 12-15 minutes.
