Delightful and amazingly tasty, this lemon toast recipe is first class. Simple, easy, bursting with wonderful flavor, this toast recipe is perfect for anytime of the year. Lemon, orange zest combined with almonds makes this recipe amazingly healthy and satisfying. Bonjour!
1 egg white
6 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons ground almonds
juice and zest of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
4 slices brioche
1. Preheat oven to 375*F.
2. In a bowl or stand mixer, whisk together the egg white and sugar until creamy.
3. Add the ground almonds, lemon juice and zest, and mix until smooth.
4. Place the brioche slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover the top of each with an even layer of the lemon-almond mixture.
5. Place in the oven and bake until lightly golden, 8 to 10 minutes.
Serve warm.
