This chicken recipe is to die for! Only 291 calories. A chicken bonanza of flavors and textures. A great family occasion meal.

 

Creamy ChickenCreamy Chicken

 

Makes 4 Servings

 

1/2 cup flour

 

2 1/4 cups 2% milk, divided

 

1 cup frozen tiny green peas, thawed

 

1 teaspoon dried sage

 

1 teaspoon butter

 

2 cups leftover cooked diced chicken

 

1 (4-ounce) jar drained diced pimentos

 

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

 

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

 

 

1. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.

 

2. In a large saucepan on medium, whisk flour and 1/2 cup milk together until smooth.

 

3. Stir in the remaining milk. Cook 5 minutes or until mixture is thick, stirring constantly with a whisk.

 

4. Add peas, sage, butter, chicken and pimentos, stirring to combine.

 

5. Cook 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated.

 

6. Remove from heat; stir in juice and pepper.
