Apple Pie Cookies

This apple pie cookie recipe is fun and quite inventive. Easy to make with exciting ingredients. Thrill your little ones with an after school batch!

 

Wax Paper

 

Refrigerated Pie Crust

 

Large Cookie Cutters

 

Baking Sheet

 

Filing: Apple Butter or apple pie filling

 

Cinnamon Sugar Mixture

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 350 *F.

 

2. Roll out the pie crust onto the wax paper.

 

3. Using large cookie cutters, cut shapes from the dough. Cut and equal amount of each shape.

 

4. After placing the cookie onto the baking sheet, drop one tablespoon of filling in the center of the cookie. Spread almost to the edge.

 

5. Place another cookie on top of the bottom cookie.

 

6. Using water smooth the edges together to form a seal. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

 

7.  Bake until golden brown.
