24 chocolate covered peppermint
patties (1 1/2 inches each)
1 cup confectioners' sugar, divided
4 tsp milk, divided
1/2 tsp peppermint extract
1/3 cup water
1 egg
1/3 cup vegetable oil plus additional for greasing
1 (21 oz) package Duncan Hines Family-style Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix
Red and green food coloring
1. Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease bottom only of a 13x9x2-inch pan.
2. Combine egg, brownie mix, oil, water and peppermint extract in large bowl. Stir about 50 strokes, until well blended.
3. Spread in prepared pan. Bake according to package directions. Place patties on warm brownies. Cool completely.
4. In small bowl, combine 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, 2 tsp milk and 1 drop of red food coloring.
5. Stir until smooth. Place in resealable plastic bag; set aside.
6. Repeat only using 1 drop of green food coloring.
7. Cut tiny pin hole in bottom corner of each bag. Drizzle glazes over brownies. Let glaze set before cutting. (optional).
