Frosted Watermelon

This satisfying and colorful watermelon recipe is designed to get your children to eat more watermelon. Unbeknownst to many, the United States currently ranks fourth in worldwide production of watermelon. Forty-four states grow watermelons with Florida, Texas, California, Georgia and Arizona consistently leading the country in production. The kids may not know how healthy watermelon is, but they will sure enjoy these frosted treats!

 

Seedless watermelon cut into ½- to ¾-inch thick slices


Yogurt


Granola or similar cereal

 

1. Using your favorite cookie cutters cut shapes out of a ½- to ¾-inch thick slices of seedless watermelon. Or, if you prefer, use classic cut watermelon wedges.
 
2. Frost with vanilla or other flavor yogurt.
 
3. Sprinkle with granola.
