2 pounds chopped meat
1 large onion, chopped
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
1 1/2 cups bread cubes, trimmed of crusts and soaked
1 teaspoon chopped, bruised mint
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 eggs
1 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
oil for frying
Flour
1. Mix together all the ingredients except the oil and flour, shape into patties or meatballs.
2. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Roll the meatballs in flour and shake off any excess.
3. Fry until browned on all sides.
Serve hot or cold.
