Spaghettini with Oil and Garlic

This olive oil and garlic pasta recipe is economical and uses only 6 ingredients. This pasta recipe is great for a busy work week. It can be prepared in under 30 minutes. The flavor is outstanding. The hot pepper flakes add a touch of fire to a family meal of the highest order!

1 pound spaghettini

1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil

4 garlic cloves, chopped fine

3 parsley branches, stems removed, leaves chopped

A pinch of hot pepper flakes

Salt

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook until al dente.

2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium-low heat.

3. When the oil is just warm, add garlic, parsley, and hot pepper flakes.

4. Cook garlic until soft, turning off the heat just as the garlic starts to sizzle. Don't let it brown or burn.

5. Drain the pasta when cooked, reserving some of the cooking water if needed.

Serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.

Simple and easy! My kind of meal. The hot pepper adds that little bit of flavor that always seemed to be missing when I made pasta.
