Avocadamia & Pear Salad

Avocados have only five grams of fat per serving, most of it being monounsaturated (good) fat. This a great spring and summer weight loss recipe!

2 ripe but firm avocados

40g macadamia nuts

2 packham pears

1 or 2 lemons

salt & freshly ground black pepper, to taste

1. Coarsely grind the macadamia nuts, either in a blender, or on a chopping board with a good knife. Peel the avocados and chop in cubes. Immediately brush with lemon juice.

2. Peel the pears and chop in cubes of the same size. Gently mix the avocado and pear cubes with the ground macadamia nuts. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.

3. Serve immediately.

Food Tip:

Choose avocados and pears which are firm and not too ripe or this delicious salad may turn into a less appetizing gruel.
