Melissa R. from Ruby Valley, NV. submitted this recipe after Grenadine Pomegranate Syrup falling in love with Pomegranates while travelling in the Mediterranean. A great benefit of this recipe is the ability to freeze over a long period of time.

Grenadine Pomegranate Syrup

Makes 1 1/2 Cups

1 cup pomegranate juice

1/2 cup sugar

1. In a 1- to 2-quart pan, combine 1 cup pomegranate juice and 1/2 cup sugar. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved; then boil for 1 minute.

2. Remove from heat and let cool. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks; freeze for longer storage.
