This low calorie, low budget salmon recipe was submitted by Scott C. in Denver, Co. The salmon is easy to make and even easier to enjoy with your family and friends. Eat healthy and fill your body with much needed protein and nutrients.
1/2 pound salmon filet
To prepare marinade:
4 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons horseradish
2 tablespoons stone-ground mustard
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
2 teaspoons Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon Mrs. Dash Table Blend
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 teaspoon ground nutmeg
hot sauce to taste (5-6 drops is good)
1. Place salmon in a heavy large (gallon) zippered bag (I suggest a heavy double-zippered freezer-type bag).
2. Put in spices and liquids. Use as much or as little as you like of the spices.
3. Fill bag with 1/3 cup of water. Close bag, making certain to remove all the air.
4. Squeeze bag to blend marinade and cover salmon.
5. Place mixture (in bag) in the refrigerator (place bag in a container to prevent spilling if there is a leak) skin side up for a minimum of 4 hours. Over night is better.
6. If you refrigerate over night, try to rotate the bag every 4-6 hours mixing marinade.
7. Bake in an oven at 350*F for 20 minutes.
