Brown Sugar Bacon

70% of all bacon consumed in the United States is eaten at breakfast. What can be better than bacon and brown sugar? A bacon and brown sugar recipe that is spectacular. Only two ingredients! This Southern Living recipe celebrates the unique love affair that we in the South seem to have with anything bacon. Enjoy!

 

10 slices thick-cut bacon (14 ounces)

 

1/2 cup firmly packed packed dark brown sugar

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 350*F.

 

2. Arrange bacon in a single layer on a wire cooling rack in an aluminum foil-lined jelly-roll or broiler pan.

 

3. Coat bacon with brown sugar.

 

4. Bake at 350*F for 38 minutes to 40 minutes until done.

 

5. Let stand 2 to 3 minutes or until sugar is set.

 

Makes 10 servings.
