A rice recipe made in the old-fashioned Southern tradition!
1 cup uncovered rice
2 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan; heat to a boil.
2. Boil until almost all of the water has been absorbed by the rice.
3. Reduce the heat to a simmer.
4. Cover and continue cooking over low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, until rice is tender.
Makes 1 to 6 servings.
