Mushroom and Swiss Patty Melt with Peas‏

This delectable ground turkey recipe comes to us by way of Whole Foods Market. Their Whole Deal circular estimates this enticing patty recipe costs about $2.79 per serving, with a 360 calorie count. Not bad this one! Certainly better than any fast food on the market today. This is a great go to school or work recipe. Quick to make, fast to eat and economical all at the same time.

1/4 pound ground turkey

Salt & ground black pepper to taste

2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil

1/2 small onion, sliced

1/2 cup sliced mushrooms

1/4 cup frozen 365 Everyday Value Organic Green Peas

2 tablespoons grated 365 Everyday Value Swiss Cheese

1. Lightly season patty with salt and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add patty and cook until golden brown on the first side, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Flip patty, move to one side of the skillet.

4. Add onions, mushrooms, salt and pepper to cleared side of skillet and cook until softened and golden brown, about 5 minutes.

5. Add peas and cook for 1 minute more, checking to ensure patty is cooked through.

6. Sprinkle patty with cheese and transfer to a plate.

7. Spoon hot mushroom mixture on top and serve.

Makes 1 serving.
