For everyday cooking, use extra-virgin olive oil from the Middle East and North Africa,  which you can find in any Middle Eastern grocey store. The Middle Eastern oil has a fruity, complex flavor and rich green color. Overall, it's comparable to Italian extra-virgin olive oils, but it's considerably cheaper.
